Nowadays, due to environmental changes, the condition of buildings can be in danger. In order protect performance existing buildings, it is important investigate seismic behaviour building structure subjected earthquake excitation. addition, study advanced level ductile design recommended by current codes. immediate future, lateral load resistance needs evaluated precisely. For purpose analyzing responses reinforced concrete (RC) this project, 6- and 12-story frames representative are modeled research paper. The response spectrum analysis deployed for a multi-degree-of-freedom system exposed waves (earthquake) City Vancouver. Hence, nature Vancouver emulated resulting spectra using ground motion records (GMR). Ultimately, concluding average displacement as well base shear structures, time-history investigated. regard, SAP2000 ETABS software utilized performances. comparison presented between previous studies that used IDARC2D proposed results software.
